This is the guy that took us on the tour of the plant. He is 83 takes 2 tours through the plant each day, 5 days a week. The tour lasts for 21/2 hours too. We walk through the plant, not on a roped in area, but right where people are workin. We had on safety glasses but no hard hats. Need less to say if it wasn't for Tiffin there would be no Red Bay AL. The old gas pumps had 11 cents a gallon on them but they were all sold out. They are building 7 motor homes a day, before the economy went kapoot they were building 13 a day.
We were there 5 days and I never got bored, it was very interesting, not like other garages. Lowell took a lot of neat pictures but thought I better hadn't put any more in. Well he would have had to tell the story and I can't get him to help with this.
When we left Red Bay we wanted to take the Natchez Trail, but it doesn't go to Iowa. Leesa said Iowa is not on the way to any place. We can't argue about that, but maybe someday we'll get to take that trail.
