ALASKA





This is our first stop Glacier Bay National Park. It is 893 nautical miles from Seattle WA to here. We averaged 20.6 knots an hour. It was 79 nm to Juneau and we averaged 9.8 knots. The airlines need to find out how cruise ships keep on a tight schedule. No matter how much rain and BIG winds we had, we were always there when they said we would.
The glacier is the top part, the front is called the face and when an iceberg breaks off this is called a calve. You can see the small icebergs floating every where. We think these are so special. When you were lucky enough to find a spot along the rail you stayed there and took pictures.
