ALASKA Sept 20 to 27th

Our trip to Alaska. These photos are taken from the plane. It was neat to see the Colombia river meandering thru the hills below. Some bigger mountains too.
We landed in Seattle boarded a bus for the pier and hoped our luggage would find it's way to the ship. We arrived at Pier 91 and got in the long line and started filling out more papers (I thought I had them all filled out), we even had to swear we didn't have the flue or a runny nose or diareha
We are finally getting to board and we are to go straight to a big buffett. We were hungry, peanuts and pretzels didn't quite cut it when you get up at 3:00. We ate and they announced our room was ready. It is beautiful and we have our own veranda. We are finally on our way. The Westerdam is one of Holland ships they have been going to Alaska 12 years before it became a state.
We had our life boat drill and pray we never have to use it.
Our luggage is even on the ship. YAH
