This is the S> S>Meteor Maritime Museum, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is the last remaining of the inovative ships (called whalebacks for their rounded hulls). Launched from Superior in 1896, she carried a variety of cargos on the Great Lakes, including iron ore, grain, cars and oil. In 1972 she was brought home to Superior is now permanently berthed on Barkers Island. We enjoyed the tour and was able to get a few other pictures when we were on the top deck.
This is a beautiful flower bed.

You know us and fairs we decided to go see this highly advertised fair here in Superior. It was a change of pace. We ate lunch at the Superior Fastpitch booth and it was really good. Seemed like home. But there was no Merry-go-round or ferris wheel, can you imagine. Then we saw this horse show going on and bless their hearts, they sure need a lot of training, I'm sorry but it was down right funny. They'll never make it to the Nationals. It made poor old Shelby County Fair look first class.
