Another fast week

You can see the fog in the background in the first picture. We thought there was no point in waiting for any big ships but then the pilot boat came in thru the fog and we knew something big was coming. Sure enough thru all the fog here she is. I want you to notice the initials on this ship. Lowell is always telling me we can't have a ship coming in because we didn't send one out, well lo and behold look at the initials on this ship now I ask you what does it say? Looks like our ship to me, L J. Well it was empty too, does that surprise you, not me. We had a baked potato potluck really good this week. What can I say another week gone by, is your time going as fast as ours is it just because we are old. See you next time around.

Another fast week

We made a quick trip to the beach this week and got a big surprise. When we left home the sun was shining and beautiful. We got to the beach and we had fog you couldn't see across the channel. So we took pictures of this blue herron waiting for a hand out, you can see how friendly he was, he just sat there I went up and took his picture he never moved. First one we have seen up close like this. But then came the welfare pelican an some guy caught an ocean perch and he almost attack the fisherman trying to get it. He new the guy didn't want it, but he sure did. He won!

Report from south Texas

When the pilot boat goes out we know something big is coming our way. After the work boat went through, then finally came our big ship. He was coming our way and he was empty. Probably heading to the refineries. I'm just like a little kid still love to see them coming. The last picture I don't know whose handiwork it is, but thought it was neat. The jetty is made out of a marble type stone. It is dumped out there as windbreaker for the channel. This cement snowman I just don't knowbut it is on a pile of the marble type stone.
Dad went to Montana Mike's steakhouse with the boys. I did military angels we sent out 4 boxes. We went to the Valentine potluck, had a pinata no broken heart but a busted snowman. It was fun. I didn't win the 99 tournament for the season, but that came as no surprise to me. No more competition now just .15 cents a day. So far I am still playing on their money. I put this in here because the kids worry about their inheirantance. They worry about my gambling habits. Guess that's all for this time, boy the time is flying.

The Gulf

We finally found the time to go to the beach. We have been so busy this year and that is my fault I guess. She was rough the wind was strong and blowing sand every place. But we had a great time. The first picture is one of our new ferry boats, they are longer and wider. I told Lowell they rode smoother too. Lol! We laughed at the yacht we were watching him and he missed the channel he turned around and came down past us. We thought the one that had the not for sale sign on it was funny too. There is a few for sale guess they can't afford to keep them.
We had our usual ice cream social Sunday night, I took a cocoanut cake and had nothing but the crumbs to take home, but they tasted good. Yesterday we had a memorial service for one of our fellow RV'ers. She worked here in the park, did a lot of planning and everything. It was sad nobody could say anything about one thing she had done for the Lord. We are not sure she was saved, she didn't want visitors and her husband didn't want any either. He didn't want the park to have a memorial service either, but they did. He cremated her and put her ashes in 2 peanut butter jars. I thought it was disrespectful but oh well this is what she always wanted! Do you reallly think so? It's kind of like me saying I don't want to go out to eat, but I do.
That's all for this week.
