This old cannon sure made a lot of smoke.

Each man had a special job to do. A good team could fire 3 times a minute. I was amazed. The one that carried the powder was a young boy and small so they were a least target. But a very important job.

One guy had to hold his finger over the air hole so in case there was a live ember no air could set it off. The shot went out a 1/4 of a mile.
